During the school year, our year-round stewardship crews are connected to the local school districts. Youth will learn job skills, earn an hourly wage and earn high school "skills-based" learning credits.

During the summer, Heart of Oregon partners with COIC and the Forest Service natural resource-based, hands-on education and work projects on public lands. Youth can earn an hourly wage and high school "skills-based" learning credit.

AmeriCorps referrals come from our justice, school, and service provider partners. AmeriCorps members learn job skills, work towards their GED, earn an Education Award, and get support transitioning to employment.
